Easter

Happy Easter! It was so much fun planning an Easter egg hunt around the house this year for Maddy to wake up to Easter morning.  Once she saw the eggs, she was so excited to get out of her highchair and start looking for eggs!  Daddy held onto her Easter basket and helped her collect her eggs - she was loving every minute of finding eggs and kept saying "Moy??"  And it was the best surprise ever when she opened them up and found candy! We then went to Gummy and Gumpy's for Easter dinner, where there was just a small family gather of about 30 of us!  They had set up another Easter egg hunt for the kiddies and there was so much yummy food.  I can't believe how many changes there have been since our last Easter when Maddy was just sitting up.  She is our light and it is so fun to see her grow and be able to teach her about our Savior.

Get me out of here so I can find eggs!

Open up and...

Oh Wow!  There is candy in the eggs!

I want moy!

Mmmm, jelly beans are delicious!

We had to put a limit on how much candy
Maddy had before church!

And then she wanted to take all of
her eggs out and review her findings.

Now what?!

Ok, so maybe we let her have a little moy!

Nothing beats morning hair!

Now time to start our getting reading for church battle -
I mean routine.

See, piggies aren't that painful!

My favorite Bunnies!  Love you!!

Florida Fun

It is such a treat that we get to have a "family reunion" in Florida with Nummie, Grandpa, Grammer, Papa Bill, Aunt Erin, Uncle Christophe, Harry, Isabella and Miller - so much better than the cold in Michigan!  This year the weather wasn't the greatest every day, but we had so much fun - and Maddy was loving being with her cousins!

First Purchase for Florida

We had to get Madeline the same swimsuit as Belle so they
could be matching on the beach!

After an early morning flight, Maddy was ready to play when
we got to the Minneapolis Airport.  We were there for 3 hours
and then she hardly slept on the flight to Florida.  Maddy is such
a good traveler, stayed on my lap the whole time - I didn't want
her to know she could walk in the aisle yet, because I knew
she wouldn't want to sit back down!

Yeah - Finally Made it to Florida!

For the long long day we had traveling, this was my happy
baby girl's face when we got in the car with Grandpa and Nummie!

Our first full day in Florida was a little overcast, but still nice and warm.
Maddy, Grandpa, and Mommy had lots of fun at the playground -
and Maddy LOVED going down the slides!

The Bakunas Family Arrived!

Grammer was going to pick up Aunt Erin,
Harry, Isabella and Miller - but then Grandpa, Maddy,
and me came and surprised them!  Maddy and Belle
then proceeded to walk down the airport holding hands.
It's so sweet to see how close they can still be even
though they don't live by each other.  Melts my heart.

Day at Fort Myers

Maddy and I spent the day in Fort Myers with Grammer, Papa Bill and the Bakunas Tribe.  We played at the park, had a great lunch, went for a walk to get ice cream and then spent the afternoon at the beach.  It was Maddy's first time at the beach since we made it to Florida, and I thought she would want to go play by the water with her cousins, but she was very content just playing on her chair in the sand.  And then of course she saw some boys playing with balls and had to go chase them.  She loves playing with balls - definitely a trait she got from Daddy.

Boat-Ride!

Grandpa and Nummie rented a boat for a day, and we had a wonderful time!  The weather was perfect too!  We took the boat to a little island and then had lunch and went exploring.  I wasn't sure if Maddy would like being on the boat for so long, but as you can tell, she had the best time with Belle and Nummie.

 Beach Time!

Sweetest twiners!

Grammer singing "You are my Sunshine"
to Maddy on the beach.

Enjoying one of the many morning walks with Belle and Daddy.

Swimming at the Pool
Miller soaking up the rays.

Yeah finally Maddy went swimming in the pool! The entire trip
Madeline wanted nothing to do with going in the Gulf or pool.  But
on the last day (when mommy left the house to go print our boarding pass),
I came back to see this smiling girl with Grammer - loving every minute swimming!

Miller equally loving every minute in the pool!

Finally mommy and Maddy went swimming in the pool together!

Harry and Belle couldn't get enough of jumping into the pool together.

 Back to Utah!
The morning we were leaving, I had to wake this little sweetie up.
Sometimes I wonder how she breaths with her head all covered!

Tired baby girl on the flight home from - finally took a nap with
twenty minutes until we landed!  We had the best time!!
